Terms of service
The agreement between you and Pepperwire for using Twilio SMS + Workflows.
Effective August 11, 2026
You bring your own Twilio and HubSpot accounts; we connect them. You pay a flat subscription for the integration and pay Twilio directly for the messages. You are the sender of the texts, which means the consent and compliance obligations are yours. We'll do our best to keep the service running, but we can't promise the carriers will.
1. Agreement
These terms are a binding agreement between you and Pepperwire ("we",
"us"), covering the HubSpot Marketplace app Twilio SMS + Workflows, the
pepperwire.app website and dashboard, and any related services (together,
the "Service").
By installing the app, creating an account, or using the Service, you accept these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you're authorised to bind it, and "you" means that company.
If you don't agree, don't install the app.
2. What the Service does
The Service connects a Twilio account you control to a HubSpot account you control, so that text messages can be sent and received from inside HubSpot — from workflows, from contact records, and through HubSpot's shared inbox.
We are an integration. We do not carry, originate, or resell text messages, and we are not a telecommunications provider.
3. What you need
To use the Service you must have:
- A HubSpot account, on a plan that supports the features you want to use. Plan requirements are set by HubSpot, and are listed in our setup guide.
- Your own Twilio account, in good standing, with at least one messaging capable phone number.
- Any registration your carriers require for the numbers you send from — for US numbers, A2P 10DLC registration or Toll-Free Verification.
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. The Service is for business use.
4. Your account
You sign in with HubSpot; there is no separate password. Anyone who can sign in to your HubSpot account with sufficient permissions can reach the Pepperwire dashboard for that account, so manage HubSpot access accordingly.
You are responsible for everything done through your account, and for keeping your Twilio credentials and HubSpot access secure. Tell us promptly at support@pepperwire.app if you believe either has been compromised.
5. Free trial
New accounts get a 7-day free trial. No payment details are required to start it, and nothing charges automatically when it ends.
When the trial ends without a subscription, outbound sending stops. Incoming messages continue to be received and logged so nothing your customers send you is lost. We may change or end trial availability at any time; a trial already running is unaffected.
6. Subscription and payment
Price. The current subscription price is shown on our pricing section and on our Marketplace listing.
Merchant of record. Payments are processed by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction. Your purchase, invoice, and any sales tax or VAT are handled by Polar under their terms, and their name will appear on your statement. We never receive or store your card details.
Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period — monthly or annual, whichever you chose — until cancelled.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, linked from the Billing page in the dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, we keep the Service running while the payment is retried and you're notified. If it ultimately fails, sending is suspended.
Refunds. Because a free trial is available before any payment, we don't generally give refunds for periods already started. If something has gone wrong, email us — we'd rather sort it out than argue about it.
Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email to the account's billing address. A change takes effect at your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
7. Twilio charges are yours
You contract with Twilio directly. Twilio bills you for phone numbers, message carriage, carrier fees, and registration. We never mark up, resell, or take a share of those charges, and we have no control over them.
Your subscription with us covers the integration only. If your Twilio account runs out of funds, is suspended, or has its credentials revoked, messages will stop regardless of your subscription with us.
8. Messaging compliance — read this one
You are the sender of every message the Service transmits on your behalf. Legal and carrier responsibility for those messages sits with you, not with us. You agree that:
- You have the consent required by law to text every person you text. In the United States that generally means prior express written consent for marketing messages, under the TCPA and applicable state law.
- You honour opt-outs. Anyone who replies STOP must stop receiving your messages, and you must not attempt to circumvent an opt-out through another number.
- You identify yourself. Messages must make clear which business is texting.
- You register your numbers as your carriers require, and you keep the registration accurate as your business or use case changes.
- You respect quiet hours and any other timing restrictions that apply where your recipients are.
- You don't text purchased, rented, scraped, or otherwise unverified contact lists.
You must not use the Service to send content prohibited by carriers or law, including messages relating to cannabis, illegal substances, firearms, gambling where prohibited, high-risk financial offers such as payday loans or debt relief, adult content, phishing, malware, or fraud, or any message designed to deceive the recipient about who sent it.
Carriers may block, filter, or refuse messages for their own reasons at any time. We cannot override that, and delivery is never guaranteed.
9. Acceptable use
Don't do any of the following, and don't let anyone using your account do them:
- Break the law, or infringe anybody's rights.
- Attempt to access another customer's data, or any part of our systems you aren't authorised to reach.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without our written permission, or disrupt it — including by deliberately overloading it.
- Reverse engineer the Service, or copy it to build a competing product.
- Resell or sublicense access without our written agreement.
- Misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with anyone.
10. Third-party services
The Service depends on HubSpot and Twilio, and on our hosting and payment providers. Your use of HubSpot and Twilio is governed by your own agreements with them.
We aren't responsible for their availability, their pricing, their policy changes, or anything they do or fail to do. If either changes or withdraws functionality the Service relies on, we may have to change the Service in response.
11. Your data
Our privacy policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and how to have it deleted. It forms part of these terms.
As between you and us, the data you send through the Service is yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to operate the Service for you — to transmit, store, and display it, and to work on a problem when you ask us to.
Where we process personal data on your behalf, we act on your documented instructions. A data processing agreement is available on request.
12. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your subscription is active. Nothing else is granted.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely, without obligation to you.
13. Trademarks
Twilio and all related logos are trademarks of Twilio Inc. or its affiliates. HubSpot is a registered trademark of HubSpot, Inc.
Pepperwire is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Twilio Inc. or HubSpot, Inc. We reference their names only to describe what our product connects to.
14. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service running continuously, and we don't offer a contractual uptime commitment. We may need to take it down for maintenance, and we'll give notice where we reasonably can.
We may add, change, or remove features. If we remove something you rely on, we'll give reasonable notice by email, and you can cancel if the change doesn't work for you.
15. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and cancelling your subscription.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms — in particular the messaging compliance and acceptable use sections — if payment fails and stays unpaid, or if we're required to by law or by HubSpot, Twilio, or a carrier. Where the circumstances allow, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — payment obligations already incurred, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnities, and governing law — survive.
16. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We specifically do not warrant that any message will be delivered. Message delivery depends on Twilio, on mobile carriers, on your registration status, and on the recipient's device and settings — none of which we control.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer you may have rights these terms don't affect.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, even if it was warned they were possible.
- Our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for carrier charges you incur, for messages blocked or filtered by carriers, or for penalties arising from your own messaging practices.
18. Indemnification
You'll defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your use of the Service in breach of these terms, from the content of messages you send, from your lack of consent to contact a recipient, or from your violation of law or of anyone's rights.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the effective date at the top, and for material changes we'll email account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The competent courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.
Before filing anything, please email us. Nearly everything is faster to resolve that way.
21. General
These terms and the privacy policy are the entire agreement between us about the Service, and replace anything discussed beforehand. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing something isn't a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger or sale of the business. Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control. Notices to you go to the email address on your account; notices to us go to the address below.
